Critical Components of a Cybersecurity Program: Resources, Preparation, Coordination, Response and Mitigation

The growing sophistication of cyber attackers, combined with the prevalence of mobile devices, has increased the potential harm from cyber attacks.  At the same time, regulators are requiring more transparency about cyber attacks, in part to alert other businesses to emerging threats and vulnerabilities.  A recent PracticeEdge session offered by the Regulatory Compliance Association reviewed the current cybersecurity landscape and offered practical guidance for implementing cybersecurity measures, developing a cybersecurity response plan and mitigating cybersecurity risks.  The panel included experts from Ernst and Young, Highfields Capital Management and Goodwin Procter.  See also “Weil Attorneys Address Six Key U.S. and E.U.
